on Omadhoo
Professional photography on Omadhoo, Alifu Dhaalu Atoll: honeymoon and couples sessions, proposals, families and drone aerials, photographed by locals who know the island's best light.

About Omadhoo
Omadhoo is a compact fishing island in Alifu Dhaalu (South Ari) Atoll, about 74 km southwest of Male, home to roughly 900 people on a strip of land under a kilometre long. It sits on the doorstep of South Ari's famous whale shark waters, yet keeps the unhurried rhythm of a working local island, with half a dozen licensed guesthouses tucked among the village lanes.

What we shoot on Omadhoo

Practical notes for Omadhoo
Swimwear is only permitted at the designated bikini beach on the western shore; modest dress is expected elsewhere on this inhabited island.
Shared speedboats from Male run daily except Friday (about 90 minutes, around USD 70 per person); a cheap public ferry exists but runs on an inconsistent seasonal schedule with multiple stops.
December to April brings the calmest seas and best water clarity; manta encounters in the region peak May to November, so the two seasons trade off against each other.

Yes. Omadhoo has a designated bikini beach, so swimwear and beachwear frames are fine there. Elsewhere on the island modest dress applies, which we plan around.
Often yes. Drone rules vary by island and resort; we check Omadhoo's current permissions before your session and, where flying isn't possible, plan aerials from a nearby sandbank.
