About Kamadhoo
Kamadhoo is a small, quiet island of about 550 people in the north of Baa Atoll, roughly 129 km from Malé, reached by a 20-minute flight to Dharavandhoo and a boat across the atoll. It has a handful of guesthouses — around four — a designated bikini beach and a healthy house reef, and its distance from the main tourist routes keeps the beach empty most days. Boats run from here to the biosphere reserve's manta sites and to the sandbanks and uninhabited islands that dot northern Baa.
Shooting on Kamadhoo
We arrange boat or domestic transfer, or pair you with a Coora photographer already in Baa Atoll.
Golden hour — roughly 5:30 to 6:30pm — is when Kamadhoo's beaches glow. We schedule every shoot around it.

Domestic flight Malé to Dharavandhoo (about 20 minutes), then a speedboat transfer to Kamadhoo arranged by your guesthouse.
Swimwear only on the designated bikini beach; modest dress applies in the village.
Hanifaru Bay's season runs roughly May to November; the calmer dry season of December to April suits beach sessions.
Nationwide MNDF and Civil Aviation Authority permits plus council permission, with extra restrictions inside the biosphere core zones.

We arrange boat or domestic transfer, or pair you with a Coora photographer already in Baa Atoll. If you're already staying on Kamadhoo, we simply meet you there — we photograph guests on their own island.
Golden hour — roughly the last 60–90 minutes before sunset, and the first hour after sunrise. We schedule every Kamadhoo session around it and move between jetty, beach and palm lines as the light changes.
Yes — Kamadhoo has a designated bikini beach, so swimwear and beachwear frames are fine there. Elsewhere on the island modest dress applies, which we plan around.
Often yes. Drone rules vary by island and resort; we check Kamadhoo's current permissions before your session and, where flying isn't possible, plan aerials from a nearby sandbank.
