on Eydhafushi
Professional photography on Eydhafushi, Baa Atoll — honeymoon and couples sessions, proposals, families, and drone aerials, photographed by locals who know the island's best light.

About Eydhafushi
Eydhafushi is the capital of Baa Atoll, a busy island of about 2,600 people roughly 114 km north of Malé and a short boat ride from Dharavandhoo airport. It is the atoll's commercial centre — harbour, shops, offices and the regional hospital — and historically a weaving island, known for the fine feyli sarongs once made here. It is less a beach island than a working base, but it sits within reach of Hanifaru Bay's manta aggregations and the UNESCO biosphere reefs, and guesthouses run boats to both.

What we shoot on Eydhafushi

Practical notes for Eydhafushi
Fly Malé to Dharavandhoo (about 20-25 minutes) and take a short speedboat across to Eydhafushi; scheduled speedboats from Malé are also available and take several hours.
Hanifaru Bay's mantas gather roughly May to November with the southwest monsoon; access is by licensed boat only, with no scuba.
Modest dress applies in town; swimwear only where guesthouses designate. Drones need national permits and face extra restrictions around the biosphere zones and the nearby airport.

Often yes. Drone rules vary by island and resort; we check Eydhafushi's current permissions before your session and, where flying isn't possible, plan aerials from a nearby sandbank.
