About Velassaru Maldives
Velassaru Maldives is about 25 minutes by speedboat from Velana International Airport in South Malé Atoll — we come to you by boat from our base. It is a contemporary, adults-oriented island with a wide, pale beach, a large lagoon, beach villas with pools, and a line of overwater villas and bungalows along the lagoon edge. The modern, minimalist design and open lagoon views make it a good choice for clean, editorial-style couple and honeymoon sessions, and its proximity to Malé makes scheduling easy.
Shooting at your resort
We arrive at Velassaru Maldives by boat or seaplane transfer and shoot on your resort island — beach, jetty, villa deck, or a nearby sandbank.
Golden hour — roughly 5:30 to 6:30pm — is when Velassaru's beaches glow. We schedule every shoot around it.
Where a resort requires photography or drone permissions, we handle the arrangements before your session.
