About Taj Exotica
Taj Exotica Resort & Spa sits on Emboodhu Finolhu in South Malé Atoll, about 15 minutes by speedboat from Velana International Airport — we reach it by boat from our base. It is a long, slender island in one of the atoll's largest lagoons, with beach villas behind a palm-lined shore and a long line of overwater villas stretching out across the shallows. The lagoon is wide and calm, which gives clean horizons and mirror-like reflections at sunrise and sunset. Close to Malé and easy to reach on the day.
Shooting at your resort
We arrive at Taj Exotica by boat or seaplane transfer and shoot on your resort island — beach, jetty, villa deck, or a nearby sandbank.
Golden hour — roughly 5:30 to 6:30pm — is when Emboodhu Finolhu's beaches glow. We schedule every shoot around it.
Where a resort requires photography or drone permissions, we handle the arrangements before your session.

Resorts set their own photographer and drone policies — we clear access with the resort before your session, and where drones are not permitted on the island we shoot aerials from a nearby sandbank by boat.
Very close to Malé by boat, so sunrise and sunset sessions are both simple; we arrive an hour early to walk the island with you.
