on Maalhos
Professional photography on Maalhos, Alifu Alifu Atoll: honeymoon and couples sessions, proposals, families and drone aerials, photographed by locals who know the island's best light.

About Maalhos
Maalhos is a quiet village island of around 520 people in North Ari (Alif Alif) Atoll, roughly 90 km west of Malé, not to be confused with its namesake in Baa Atoll. It sits on the atoll's reef rim among resort islands and open channels, and it has stayed small and unhurried: a fishing community with a few guesthouses, a sandy shoreline and a reef close to shore. For photographers it offers the North Ari lagoon colours without the crowds of Rasdhoo or Ukulhas, and easy dhoni access to sandbanks and snorkelling reefs nearby.

Often yes. Drone rules vary by island and resort; we check Maalhos's current permissions before your session and, where flying isn't possible, plan aerials from a nearby sandbank.
