Professional photography on Guraidhoo, Kaafu Atoll — honeymoon and couples sessions, proposals, families, and drone aerials, photographed by locals who know the island's best light.

About Guraidhoo
Guraidhoo sits on the eastern rim of South Male Atoll, about 35 km from Male, a fishing-village island of around 1,700 people with a long history of hosting travellers. It pairs village life with serious water access: three named surf breaks, turtle-rich reefs, nearby sandbanks, and a footbridge to the uninhabited islet of Lhosfushi where its tourist beach lies.

Beaches & photo spots on Guraidhoo
The designated beach sits on the connected islet of Lhosfushi — the wooden bridge over the channel is itself a strong leading-line frame.
The island's left-hander — surf action against open ocean on the atoll's outer edge.
A punchier right and a slow beginner-friendly right — variety for surf lifestyle shoots in one session.
White sand mounds ringed by lagoon a short boat hop away — minimal, horizon-clean backdrops for portraits.
A working fishing-village harbour with dhonis and daily catch activity — documentary and golden-hour boat frames.
What we shoot on Guraidhoo

Practical notes for Guraidhoo
A direct ferry leaves Male's Villingili Terminal at 14:30 (about 2 hours, roughly 2 USD), daily except Friday; a slower 15:00 ferry calls at Gulhi and Maafushi first. Speedboats take about 45 minutes for around 30 USD.
Swimwear is permitted on the Lhosfushi tourist beach reached by the bridge; modest dress is required in the village itself.
The southern shore of Lhosfushi takes strong waves and draws surfers — brief models on currents before in-water sessions there.
Photoshoot on Guraidhoo — FAQ
Speedboat from Malé in 45 minutes (~$30), or the public ferry (Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Sat, Sun, 90 min). If you're already staying on Guraidhoo, we simply meet you there — we photograph guests on their own island.
Golden hour — roughly the last 60–90 minutes before sunset, and the first hour after sunrise. We schedule every Guraidhoo session around it and move between jetty, beach and palm lines as the light changes.
It depends on the beach: swimwear is only allowed on designated tourist beaches on inhabited islands. We confirm Guraidhoo's rules before your shoot and plan looks and locations to match.
Often yes. Drone rules vary by island and resort; we check Guraidhoo's current permissions before your session and, where flying isn't possible, plan aerials from a nearby sandbank.
