on Gaafaru
Professional photography on Gaafaru, Kaafu Atoll — honeymoon and couples sessions, proposals, families, and drone aerials, photographed by locals who know the island's best light.

About Gaafaru
Gaafaru sits on its own small ring reef at the northern tip of Kaafu Atoll, about 62 km from Malé, a fishing island of around 1,300 people. The reef, Gaafaru Falhu, lies across a historic shipping lane and has claimed several vessels over the centuries, so the island is known among divers for its wrecks as much as for its lagoon. On land it is a tidy village with a designated bikini beach, and its position at the end of the atoll gives its beaches open-sea horizons on the north and east.

Beaches & photo spots on Gaafaru
The designated tourist beach — white sand and a shallow lagoon rim, quiet even in high season.
Several old shipwrecks lie on the reef around the island, dived from the island's boats — underwater wreck frames for those with housings.
Working dhonis in the harbour with the reef edge close behind; mornings bring the fishing fleet in and out.
Open-ocean horizon at the atoll's tip — big skies for sunrise and storm-light work.
