Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru is a small, round island in North Malé Atoll, about 25 minutes by speedboat from Velana International Airport. We come to you by boat from our base. There are no overwater villas here — instead, thatched beachfront villas with private gardens ring a beach that wraps the whole island, with a healthy house reef a short swim from shore. It is a classic Maldivian island in the old style: palms to the waterline, soft sand, and an unbroken horizon in every direction.
