on Thinadhoo
Professional photography on Thinadhoo, Vaavu Atoll — honeymoon and couples sessions, proposals, families, and drone aerials, photographed by locals who know the island's best light.

About Thinadhoo
Thinadhoo is a tiny island community of around 250 people in Vaavu Atoll, 78 km south of Male, and one of the atoll's five inhabited islands. Despite its size it has built a quiet name among travellers for a long, clean bikini beach and easy access to Vaavu's sandbanks and shark-filled channels, with a handful of guesthouses serving a mostly European crowd.

Beaches & photo spots on Thinadhoo
A long stretch of white sand framed by palms, regularly cited among the best local-island bikini beaches — clean sandy entry with no dead coral at the waterline.
A bare sandbank in the lagoon reachable by short boat trip; minimalist sand-and-water compositions at any tide.
Fish-rich reef right off the island; the coral is patchy but the fish life is dense for snorkel frames.
Operators run night snorkels and dives with nurse sharks in the surrounding atoll waters — dramatic low-light wildlife work.

Practical notes for Thinadhoo
Swimwear is confined to the designated bikini beach; dress modestly in the village, and note alcohol is not served on inhabited islands.
Public ferry from Male runs Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday at 10:00 (about 5 hours 20 minutes, USD 5); scheduled speedboats depart 10:00 and 16:00, taking about 90 minutes for USD 65 per person.
With only around seven guesthouses and 250 residents, capacity is limited — book stays and boats ahead in high season.
