Family & Group
on Bodufolhudhoo
Candid-first sessions that work with kids, grandparents, and friend groups. We shoot loose and playful, then gather the classic all-together frames. Photographed on Bodufolhudhoo, Alifu Alifu Atoll, by locals who know the island's best light.

Bodufolhudhoo is one of the smallest inhabited islands in North Ari Atoll: a near-circular 300-metre island with around 704 residents, about 82 km from Male.
Planning a family photoshoot on Bodufolhudhoo? The island sits about 82 km from Malé in Alifu Alifu Atoll, roughly 90 minutes by speedboat. It has a designated bikini beach, so swimwear frames are possible on the tourist stretch. Tell us your dates and we'll schedule your family photoshoot around Bodufolhudhoo's golden hour.

Family & Group on Bodufolhudhoo: quick answers
We shoot loose and playful first (running, splashing, building sand) and gather the classic all-together frames when everyone is warmed up. Sessions are paced around the kids, not a shot list.
Early morning is often best with small children: softer light, cooler air and empty beaches. Late afternoon golden hour works well for older kids and groups.
Speedboat from Malé in 90 minutes (~$60), or the public ferry (Mon, Thu, 330 min). If you're already staying on Bodufolhudhoo, we meet you there; we photograph guests on their own island.
Golden hour: roughly the last 60–90 minutes before sunset, and the first hour after sunrise. We schedule every Bodufolhudhoo session around it and move between jetty, beach and palm lines as the light changes.
