Drone & Aerial
on Bodufolhudhoo
The signature Maldives shot: you two on a white sandbank in the middle of turquoise. Flown by licensed pilots, composed from the sky. Photographed on Bodufolhudhoo, Alifu Alifu Atoll, by locals who know the island's best light.

Bodufolhudhoo is one of the smallest inhabited islands in North Ari Atoll: a near-circular 300-metre island with around 704 residents, about 82 km from Male.
Planning a drone photoshoot on Bodufolhudhoo? The island sits about 82 km from Malé in Alifu Alifu Atoll, roughly 90 minutes by speedboat. It has a designated bikini beach, so swimwear frames are possible on the tourist stretch. Tell us your dates and we'll schedule your drone photoshoot around Bodufolhudhoo's golden hour.

Drone & Aerial on Bodufolhudhoo: quick answers
Yes, with permissions. Drone flights require approval and local consent, and rules differ by island and resort. Our pilots are licensed and we arrange the permissions for your location in advance.
A sandbank. The classic Maldives aerial is two people on a bare white sandbank surrounded by turquoise. We take you there by boat from your island or resort, usually a 10–20 minute ride.
Speedboat from Malé in 90 minutes (~$60), or the public ferry (Mon, Thu, 330 min). If you're already staying on Bodufolhudhoo, we meet you there; we photograph guests on their own island.
Golden hour: roughly the last 60–90 minutes before sunset, and the first hour after sunrise. We schedule every Bodufolhudhoo session around it and move between jetty, beach and palm lines as the light changes.
