About Beau Vallon
Beau Vallon is the widest and busiest bay on Mahé, a long north-west-facing arc of sand backed by hotels and casuarina, and the island's default swimming beach because the water shelves gently and stays calm for most of the year.

Late afternoon into sunset is when Beau Vallon's granite and water look their best. Every session is scheduled around it.

Beau Vallon faces north-west, so the sun sets into the water in front of it. This is the evening session on Mahé.
Calmest from roughly May to September. The north-west winds of December to March push swell and weed into the bay.
