Drone & Aerial in Arugam Bay: quick answers
Yes, with permissions. Drone flights require approval and local consent, and rules differ by island and resort. Our pilots are licensed and we arrange the permissions for your location in advance.
A sandbank. The classic Maldives aerial is two people on a bare white sandbank surrounded by turquoise. We take you there by boat from your island or resort, usually a 10–20 minute ride.
We travel to Arugam Bay by road and arrive before your session starts. Tell us where you are staying and we will meet you there. If you are already staying in Arugam Bay, we meet you at your hotel or at the location.
Golden hour: roughly the last 60–90 minutes before sunset, and the first hour after sunrise. We schedule every Arugam Bay session around it and move between jetty, beach and palm lines as the light changes.
