Drone & Aerial
on Velidhoo
The signature Maldives shot: you two on a white sandbank in the middle of turquoise. Flown by licensed pilots, composed from the sky. Photographed on Velidhoo, Noonu Atoll, by locals who know the island's best light.

Velidhoo is the most populous island of Noonu Atoll, home to about 1,800 people some 167 km north of Male, in what is regarded as one of the country's great fishing regions.

Drone & Aerial on Velidhoo: quick answers
Yes, with permissions. Drone flights require approval and local consent, and rules differ by island and resort. Our pilots are licensed and we arrange the permissions for your location in advance.
A sandbank. The classic Maldives aerial is two people on a bare white sandbank surrounded by turquoise. We take you there by boat from your island or resort, usually a 10–20 minute ride.
We arrange boat or domestic transfer, or pair you with a Coora photographer already in Noonu Atoll. If you're already staying on Velidhoo, we meet you there; we photograph guests on their own island.
Golden hour: roughly the last 60–90 minutes before sunset, and the first hour after sunrise. We schedule every Velidhoo session around it and move between jetty, beach and palm lines as the light changes.
