Drone & Aerial
on Kelaa
The signature Maldives shot: you two on a white sandbank in the middle of turquoise. Flown by licensed pilots, composed from the sky. Photographed on Kelaa, Haa Alifu Atoll, by locals who know the island's best light.

Kelaa is one of the northernmost inhabited islands of the Maldives, in Haa Alifu Atoll about 310 km from Malé, with around 1,100 people and a handful of guesthouses.

Drone & Aerial on Kelaa: quick answers
Yes, with permissions. Drone flights require approval and local consent, and rules differ by island and resort. Our pilots are licensed and we arrange the permissions for your location in advance.
A sandbank. The classic Maldives aerial is two people on a bare white sandbank surrounded by turquoise. We take you there by boat from your island or resort, usually a 10–20 minute ride.
We arrange boat or domestic transfer, or pair you with a Coora photographer already in Haa Alifu Atoll. If you're already staying on Kelaa, we meet you there; we photograph guests on their own island.
Golden hour: roughly the last 60–90 minutes before sunset, and the first hour after sunrise. We schedule every Kelaa session around it and move between jetty, beach and palm lines as the light changes.
