Family & Group
on Hulhumalé
Candid-first sessions that work with kids, grandparents, and friend groups. We shoot loose and playful, then gather the classic all-together frames. Photographed on Hulhumalé, Kaafu Atoll, by locals who know the island's best light.

Hulhumalé is the Maldives' reclaimed new city: a flat, planned island of about 4 km² beside Velana International Airport, home to some 65,000 people and growing fast as the capital's overflow.

Family & Group on Hulhumalé: quick answers
We shoot loose and playful first (running, splashing, building sand) and gather the classic all-together frames when everyone is warmed up. Sessions are paced around the kids, not a shot list.
Early morning is often best with small children: softer light, cooler air and empty beaches. Late afternoon golden hour works well for older kids and groups.
A short boat trip from our Maafushi base. We arrange the crossing and arrive before you do. If you're already staying on Hulhumalé, we meet you there; we photograph guests on their own island.
Golden hour: roughly the last 60–90 minutes before sunset, and the first hour after sunrise. We schedule every Hulhumalé session around it and move between jetty, beach and palm lines as the light changes.
