Drone & Aerial
on Hulhumalé
The signature Maldives shot: you two on a white sandbank in the middle of turquoise. Flown by licensed pilots, composed from the sky. Photographed on Hulhumalé, Kaafu Atoll, by locals who know the island's best light.

Hulhumalé is the Maldives' reclaimed new city: a flat, planned island of about 4 km² beside Velana International Airport, home to some 65,000 people and growing fast as the capital's overflow.

Drone & Aerial on Hulhumalé: quick answers
Yes, with permissions. Drone flights require approval and local consent, and rules differ by island and resort. Our pilots are licensed and we arrange the permissions for your location in advance.
A sandbank. The classic Maldives aerial is two people on a bare white sandbank surrounded by turquoise. We take you there by boat from your island or resort, usually a 10–20 minute ride.
A short boat trip from our Maafushi base. We arrange the crossing and arrive before you do. If you're already staying on Hulhumalé, we meet you there; we photograph guests on their own island.
Golden hour: roughly the last 60–90 minutes before sunset, and the first hour after sunrise. We schedule every Hulhumalé session around it and move between jetty, beach and palm lines as the light changes.
