Family & Group
on Himmafushi
Candid-first sessions that work with kids, grandparents, and friend groups. We shoot loose and playful, then gather the classic all-together frames. Photographed on Himmafushi, Kaafu Atoll, by locals who know the island's best light.

Himmafushi is a compact fishing and boat-building island of about 2,000 people, only 17 km from Male in North Male Atoll, one of the closest local islands to the capital.
Planning a family photoshoot on Himmafushi? The island sits about 16 km from Malé in Kaafu Atoll, roughly 20 minutes by speedboat. Tell us your dates and we'll schedule your family photoshoot around Himmafushi's golden hour.

Family & Group on Himmafushi: quick answers
We shoot loose and playful first (running, splashing, building sand) and gather the classic all-together frames when everyone is warmed up. Sessions are paced around the kids, not a shot list.
Early morning is often best with small children: softer light, cooler air and empty beaches. Late afternoon golden hour works well for older kids and groups.
Speedboat from Malé in 20 minutes, or the public ferry (Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Sat, Sun, 45 min). If you're already staying on Himmafushi, we meet you there; we photograph guests on their own island.
Golden hour: roughly the last 60–90 minutes before sunset, and the first hour after sunrise. We schedule every Himmafushi session around it and move between jetty, beach and palm lines as the light changes.
