Drone & Aerial
on Himmafushi
The signature Maldives shot: you two on a white sandbank in the middle of turquoise. Flown by licensed pilots, composed from the sky. Photographed on Himmafushi, Kaafu Atoll, by locals who know the island's best light.

Himmafushi is a compact fishing and boat-building island of about 2,000 people, only 17 km from Male in North Male Atoll, one of the closest local islands to the capital.
Planning a drone photoshoot on Himmafushi? The island sits about 16 km from Malé in Kaafu Atoll, roughly 20 minutes by speedboat. Tell us your dates and we'll schedule your drone photoshoot around Himmafushi's golden hour.

Drone & Aerial on Himmafushi: quick answers
Yes, with permissions. Drone flights require approval and local consent, and rules differ by island and resort. Our pilots are licensed and we arrange the permissions for your location in advance.
A sandbank. The classic Maldives aerial is two people on a bare white sandbank surrounded by turquoise. We take you there by boat from your island or resort, usually a 10–20 minute ride.
Speedboat from Malé in 20 minutes, or the public ferry (Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Sat, Sun, 45 min). If you're already staying on Himmafushi, we meet you there; we photograph guests on their own island.
Golden hour: roughly the last 60–90 minutes before sunset, and the first hour after sunrise. We schedule every Himmafushi session around it and move between jetty, beach and palm lines as the light changes.
