Drone & Aerial
on Goidhoo
The signature Maldives shot: you two on a white sandbank in the middle of turquoise. Flown by licensed pilots, composed from the sky. Photographed on Goidhoo, Baa Atoll, by locals who know the island's best light.

Goidhoo is the largest of the three inhabited islands in the isolated Goidhoo group (Horsburgh Atoll) south of Baa proper, about 96 km from Malé, with around 580 people on 1.1 km² of unusually fertile land.

Drone & Aerial on Goidhoo: quick answers
Yes, with permissions. Drone flights require approval and local consent, and rules differ by island and resort. Our pilots are licensed and we arrange the permissions for your location in advance.
A sandbank. The classic Maldives aerial is two people on a bare white sandbank surrounded by turquoise. We take you there by boat from your island or resort, usually a 10–20 minute ride.
Public ferry from Malé (Sun, 300 min). If you're already staying on Goidhoo, we meet you there; we photograph guests on their own island.
Golden hour: roughly the last 60–90 minutes before sunset, and the first hour after sunrise. We schedule every Goidhoo session around it and move between jetty, beach and palm lines as the light changes.
