Drone & Aerial
on Fonadhoo
The signature Maldives shot: you two on a white sandbank in the middle of turquoise. Flown by licensed pilots, composed from the sky. Photographed on Fonadhoo, Laamu Atoll, by locals who know the island's best light.

Fonadhoo is the capital of Laamu Atoll, a long, slim island of about 2,300 people on 1.7 km², roughly 259 km south of Malé, linked by causeway to Kadhdhoo airport and onward to Gan.

Drone & Aerial on Fonadhoo: quick answers
Yes, with permissions. Drone flights require approval and local consent, and rules differ by island and resort. Our pilots are licensed and we arrange the permissions for your location in advance.
A sandbank. The classic Maldives aerial is two people on a bare white sandbank surrounded by turquoise. We take you there by boat from your island or resort, usually a 10–20 minute ride.
We arrange boat or domestic transfer, or pair you with a Coora photographer already in Laamu Atoll. If you're already staying on Fonadhoo, we meet you there; we photograph guests on their own island.
Golden hour: roughly the last 60–90 minutes before sunset, and the first hour after sunrise. We schedule every Fonadhoo session around it and move between jetty, beach and palm lines as the light changes.
