Ella is a hill town at about 1,000 m in Uva Province, set in a gap in the escarpment where the land falls away south toward the coastal plain. It is the walking and tea-country base of the south-central highlands, and the Kandy to Badulla railway that reaches it is the reason most people come.

## *Ella* の撮影スポット

- Nine Arch Bridge: A 1920s stone viaduct in the jungle below the town, with trains crossing several times a day. Morning light and a train together is the frame people come for.
- Little Adam's Peak: A short climb to an open ridge with the Ella Gap falling away behind. Sunrise is clearest before the valley cloud builds.
- Tea fields above the town: Clipped green terraces with pickers working the rows, sharpest in the low light of early morning.

- Weather: The hills make their own weather and cloud can close the Ella Gap within minutes. Sessions are scheduled early, when the valley is most likely to be open.
- Train times: The bridge is only worth timing to a train if the schedule holds, and it often shifts. We confirm the day's running before building a session around it.
